Vincent Update Jan 2014

Happy New Year and Feliz Año Nuevo!

Our family hopes that you had a very blessed Christmas and a fun filled (and then restful) New Years! Our Christmas calendar was once again packed with church events and outreach activities. We were especially blessed to partner with Voyagers Bible church and Calvary Chapel Saving Grace to provide Christmas presents and happy Birthday Jesus parties for the children in our community and our church plants!

We finished up the year with our annual end of the year New Year’s Eve Worship Service. As I was sharing with the church at that event and seeing all of the new faces, I once again was amazed at God’s faithfulness over the past year.

CCRosarito- 2002 Home Fellowship!

CCRosarito- 2002 Home Fellowship! The Bible tells us in Psalm 100:5 that “the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” This past year, God was especially good and faithful to us and the ministry that we feel so honored to serve in. Once again God did much more than we could ask or think, and I would like to share a couple of those highlights with you.

Over the course of 2013, there were over 300 first time professions of faith at our main church services. Over 100 of those new believers took the step to be publically baptized. Now these aren’t just empty numbers, each one of these people represents a valuable life, a family that has been impacted, and a destiny that has been transformed by God.

CCRosarito 2003-2005 Our first building!

CCRosarito 2003-2005 Our first building! At our New Years Eve service, we gave the opportunity for some of these new believers to share their testimonies and it was amazing to see the hope that God has brought these broken lives! One man visited our church for the first time this year without Christ and living in misery and sin in an abusive relationship. This man was even stabbed numerous times earlier this year and his life was hanging in the balance. But as he stood up front and shared his testimony at the end of the year only one thought came to my mind, GOD STILL SAVES AND TRANSFORMS LIVES!

As I was writing this update, I reflected back on the humble beginnings that God used to start our ministry. Back in 2002, our church began as a tiny home fellowship in a house on a hill in Rosarito. After ministering there for a few months, we moved to a small storefront where we rented a building for the first time. We spent three years in that storefront, and began with a sanctuary of just 20, and then expanded it to 70.

CCRosarito- 2006-2012

In 2006, God opened up the door for us to move into (what at that time I considered) my dream facility. This building had 8 children’s ministry rooms, a café and intern apartment, and a sanctuary that held over 200. We spent the next six years there and have so many glorious memories of the wonderful things that the Lord did there. But we eventually outgrew that location too, and as you know, we moved again and have been in our present facility for nearly 18 months.

Each step of the way God was faithful not only to transform the lives of the people in our church, but He brought our family ministry partners like you to pray for us and to partner with us financially so we could serve as full time missionaries here. We are thankful for what God has done in the past, but we are even more excited to see what God is going to do in the future.

CCRosarito: 2013

CCRosarito: 2013So what will the next year bring? Only God knows the specifics, but our goals are to continue sharing the Gospel and meeting the needs of those that God brings into the church. We want to also continue with our outreach outside of the church walls where we can meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those that are hurting the most in our community.

Finally, I would like to once again thank you for your partnership with our family and ministry throughout this past year. It is through your prayers that we are strengthened spiritually, and it is through your financial partnership that God provides for our needs. It is our prayer that God BLESSES YOU with your best and most prosperous year ever in 2014!

Con mucho amor de Mexico, (with much love from Mexico)
