Dear ministry partners!

October was a busy month full of ministry and new life! We ended the month last weekend with our monthly baptisms.  It was such a blessing as we were able to witness 22 believers make their decision to follow Jesus Christ public through the waters of baptism!

A few months ago our church started a new believer’s class to better disciple those that profess faith at our church. This 4 week class focuses on the basics of the Christian faith; Jesus, the Bible, spiritual growth and the church. These new believers graduate from this class when they are baptized at one of our weekend services. It was very encouraging to see so many of these new converts who have just recently professed faith take this step and be willing to be baptized in October!

A major focus for me this month was our negotiations to finally purchase our church facility. We are so thankful for your prayers and financial support to help us get to this point, this was truly a team effort. Our church body gave sacrificially and generously and so did so many of our stateside friends and supporters. After 6 months of prayer and fundraising, together we were able to raise raised a great majority of the asking price for the building, and we are now in active negotiations to finalize the deal!

 

 

An extra blessing also popped open to us as we began negotiations on our church building. At this same time the large (empty) parking lot located directly next to our church (North side, different owner) went on the market as well.  Presently, we are averaging over 1200 attending our church each weekend,  and we cannot have a church facility without adequate parking.  So as this lot went on the market, we viewed this as another open door from  God. After praying together we realized that there are no coincidences in the Lord, so we decided to take a bigger step of faith and attempt to purchase both our church campus and the adjacent parking area at the same time!

At writing time, neither of these deals have been finalized yet and we covet your prayers as this process moves forward. Although much money was raised, we do not have the funds to make both of these deals with the resources in hand right now, so we need God’s favor and direction as we move forward!

15 years ago we would have never imagined that God would have us in a position to purchase our spacious church facility and large parking lot in the most desirable area of our city in Rosarito!  But once again, God has done much more than we could ever ask or think. We are so honored and blessed that you have chosen to partner with us on this amazing journey. We love you and appreciate you!
