Massey Update March

We hope and pray that this letter finds you safe, blessed and rejoicing in the Love of our Lord! The winter is almost over in Pakistan. Now it’s going to be a short Spring followed by the onset of a hot Summer! We praise God for keeping us safe, healthy and able to work within this mission field. We are thankful to you for your prayers support! New Ministry! Audio Sermons for Pakistan!

It’s our vision for this year to have “Audio Urdu Expository Bible Teachings” available for Pakistani Christians. During last two months I’ve been studying, learning and making notes for my weekly Bible studies in the villages. During the month of March we will use those notes to start recording Audio sermons. We want to request you to please keep us in prayers as we start working on our recordings. This is something “Totally New” in Pakistan. Our Audio Sermons will be very helpful to so many people. We are not very experienced and don’t have proper equipment, but we want to go ahead and use all that we have to glorify His Holy name! Please pray!

God has guided us to have special Bible Studies in the villages this year. In Pakistan there is no trend of “Expository Bible Study”. Teaching is always topical. With the grace of God and your prayer support we have started “Expository Bible Studies” (going through the Bible, verse by verse, Genesis to Revelation) in two villages. It’s a totally new approach in Pakistan; proved to be very helpful not only for the people but also for the teacher. We really are excited about the effects of this Bible Study in the lives of the people. People love to learn the Word of God this way. They patiently look forward for the next Bible Study, as if they are waiting for the next episode of their favorite serial. Please pray for us to be able to keep teaching faithfully, and also for the protection of the people of these villages and our team.

Along with the “Sound Biblical Teaching”, my passion is to warn people about the dangerous cultist teachings spread around. We had been arranging different seminars and conferences in the past to help people to be grounded on the Solid Foundation of the Word of God, and to warn them of the false teachings of different cults. We have been using a lot of printed material also for this. To conserve on ministry costs, we no longer arrange such seminars and conferences ourselves, but we do go to teach in different areas when invited by other churches and ministries. Last month we traveled to Faisalabad city to teach in a counter-cult seminar arranged by The Church of Pakistan. I was also able to teach in two seminars; one was arranged by “Youth for Christ Pakistan”, and the second by “The New Creation Ministry”. These were presented in different areas. Such seminars and conferences are always very helpful for the new generation and the youth to learn discernment and grow in the true Bible based Christian faith. Please keep our ministry project also in your prayers. Please pray for our protection and needs as we travel and reach other people.

Calvary Chapel Pakistan is reaching more than 25 villages around our town in order to help and equip children with the Word of God. We visit these areas to encourage the Sunday school teachers who are serving voluntarily, and the children. God’s grace and your generous support have always enabled us to provide the basic needs of these 25 Sunday schools, e.g. the study material and the tools for teachings. Farah (my wife) is receiving Sunday School Training from a Christian training center. She will be helping one of our Calvary Chapel Pakistan team members Joseph Arif with the children’s ministry very soon. Farah contribution will make this ministry much more effective for the Christian Children. [cincopa A0GALG72b3mP]

The Urdu Bible is not available in either electronic or audio formats. The Paperback Urdu Bibles are printed in South Korea. These Bibles are imported once a year by the Pakistan Bible Society and are available only from Lahore city. Most of the poor people of the villages are unable to travel to Lahore City in order to get a Bible. The majority cannot even afford to purchase a Bible, and the traveling also costs much. We are thankful to you for joining hands with us for providing free Urdu Bibles to these poor, un-reached villagers. In the past four years, thousands of families of different villages have received Bibles. There are so many more requests, and by the grace of God and your support this project is going on. We also have a face book cause for Urdu Bibles by the name of “Save Coins for Urdu Bibles and Literature”. If you feel led by the Holy Spirit, please join this cause here!

Notice: We are sad to inform you someone in Pakistan imitated our Facebook Cause. The name and much of the content is nearly identical. Please check the Cause information carefully to not be confused between ours and theirs. These people go under: “Save coins for Urdu Bibles, promoted by Life Gospel Ministries, Pastor shumila Alam” These people ask you to contact them through email for instructions on how you can give them money.**

** In contrast, Calvary Chapel Pakistan receives money through the channel of the Saving Grace World Missions, a legally registered, tax deductible charitable Missions Organization located in Yorba Linda, California, USA. The money is then wired by the Missions Organization to us here in Pakistan for purchase of Bibles.

Our family is doing great. Our son Joshua is having his final exams this week and we have planned for our daughter Rachael’s School admission in the next week. We praise God for such sweet kids. It’s really amazing to see them grow so fast. Please keep them in your prayers! Farah is very busy with her Bible Training these days. She is studying “A Brief Church History, including The Persecution of The Early Church”, Christian Counseling, and Sunday School Ministry. I am really happy to see her always searching through the scripture, always learning and growing in the Lord. She is wonderfully managing the family and her Bible studies! Joseph and his family are also fine, except Kiran (his wife) who has some physical problems. We have always been posting prayer requests for her. Please pray for her healing! We are always thankful to you our dear and faithful brothers and sisters in the Lord!

We Love you and Pray for you and your family!

In Christ,

Nadeem, Farah, Joshua & Rachael Massey
