Hello 2019!

Happy New Year! My heart has been bursting with excitement as I look at what is coming for Saving Grace World Missions and in my own personal life in 2019! Here’s a glimpse of that….

Happy new year from my family to yours!!!!

SGWM in 2019…

My calendar is already filling up but with great things that God will be doing with Saving Grace World Missions in 2019! I wish I could sit down with each one of you and let you in on all of the behind-the-scenes miracles that take place! Just know that God is on the move; both in our home office in Yorba Linda, CA and all throughout the nations through our missionaries! There is constant communication from all of our staff to our missionaries worldwide to assist them with everything from logistical to spiritual support.

On top of that, our SGWM staff continues to grow closer as a team, but most importantly, we have become family! As of right now, I’m the only full-time girl in the office and since I have no biological brothers, God has given me amazing brothers in Christ! I constantly enjoy interacting with my fellow SGWM staff. We joke with each other all the time, encourage each other in our callings, share our struggles when we are hurting, and have the same united vision; serve the Lord joyfully with everything we have to take the Gospel to the nations!

Some of SGWM’s newest 2019 fliers and pamphlets!

In my upcoming monthly newsletters of 2019, God has really laid it on my heart to share more of what He is and will be doing in months to come!

Personal Life in 2019…

The most common question I have gotten as I get in conversations about the new year is, “Nikki, where are you going next?” Believe it or not, there are no trips that are on my calendar, at least for now. 😉 I leave my calendar for the year open to the Lord and am in prayer about future possibilities to visit and serve alongside the many missionaries we have around the world.

I wish I knew all of the exciting things that God had planned for me in this new year but until then, God has given me a lot of vision for the body of Christ in my home church as there are numerous opportunities to serve Him here.

Above all, my personal vision for 2019 is to radically pursue a deeper intimacy with Jesus. Last year, God did deep sanctification in my heart and very clearly spoke to me about what journey I should be most devoted to.

Although I can get zealous to hop on a plane to serve Him overseas, God told me that the most important journey that I could go on is the journey to the Father’s heart. I confess that I could easily get lost in daydreaming of the ways God could open up a door for me at any moment. Yet, there is a constant temptation to lose sight of what should be my greatest delight and devotion; my relationship with Jesus. This year, I am excited to fall deeper in love with Him, allowing Him to teach me more of His beautiful heart towards me, His people, and the lost.

This upcoming week,(Jan 7-11th) the SGWM staff and I will be at the Calvary Chapel’s Missions Conference in Murrieta, CA. This annual event is always my favorite week of the year as it is a time specifically set apart for hearing from the Lord, rich fellowship, and for me to personally get vision for my own calling and life.

I look forward to sharing about what God is going to teach me at the missions conference and what God is doing here at SGWM in the months to come!

As you look over your own calendar and possible resolutions for the year, my prayer for you is that you would most importantly prioritize the pursuit and growth of your own relationship with Jesus. His plans are always best and I believe that as you seek Him, you will not only find Him but also discover what He has planned for your 2019!

Prayer Requests…

  • At the end of 2018, my car died on me. I am currently looking into buying an affordable, reliable, and economical car. Please pray for God to lead me and provide for this need.
  • Pray for my time at the CC Missions Conference; that I would hear from the Lord, have times alone to seek Him, and for great fellowship with my fellow missionaries!
  •  Pray that I would obey all that Jesus is calling me to do with a worshipful heart and with the Holy Spirit’s boldness!
  • Please continue to pray for our SGWM missionaries, the Brechtel family, who will be moving to Oaxaca at the end of the month to plant a Calvary Chapel.

Behind me is #TeamOaxaca (minus Tim). The 5 of them are so excited for all that God has planned!

For His Name’s Sake!
