Acapulco at last!!!
Thank you all once again for your continual prayers, we arrived here in Acapulco just barely two and a half weeks ago and are so excited about the doors of ministry that the Lord has opened up unto us already!
We are so blessed to share that Lupita was asked to lead a women’s Bible Study on Tuesday mornings for a group of ladies who gather at a local coffee shop and are curious about the things of God. She shared for the first time this last Tuesday and the ladies loved it! She as well has been asked to assume oversight of the Children’s Ministry at church and is so thrilled since Children’s Ministry has continually been her passion through the years!
We recently went out on our first “Evangelism Night” with the church and were able to see first hand the hunger among the local people for the things of God! Please pray for Thalia and Michelle who gave their lives to Jesus last week during this outing. Pray that they would come to church and grow in their new walk with Jesus. Pray also for Ricardo and others that were very interested in coming to church.
Praise the Lord, the preparations for the soon to start Bible College are beginning to move along very quickly! The same facility/house that Pastor Hassan had looked at a few months ago but was “rented” has become available once again and we are getting closer to possibly acquiring it so we can begin to get it ready for the fall semester.
Here is a picture from the first floor. It has a full kitchen, 2 huge dorm rooms, a main teaching hall, and a pool. The second floor will be used for staff. Our capacity would be for 18 students. Directly in front is a community park, which is perfect for the students to evangelize, build relationships with the locals, and play a fun game of basketball. It is in a safe neighborhood and is walking distance to the church.
1. Direction for Joe in putting together everything needed to open the Bible College this coming fall.
2. New believers: Thalia and Michelle
3. Tuesday morning women’s Bible Study: Salvation & Growth
4. Pray for the wonderful ministry team we are a part of here: Pastor Hassan & Stacy, Robert & Norma, Candace Parish, and Raul.
5. A car to get around town.
6. Safety for us and the ministry team here. Acapulco and the surrounding State still have some unstable areas because of the Drug Cartel violence.
7. Please pray that God would continue to provide monthly for the needs of our family.
Thank you so much for your partnership with our family and ministry. It is through your prayers that we are strengthened spiritually, and it is through your financial partnership that God provides for our needs.
We are honored to serve as your missionaries.
