Weekly Prayer 04/25/17-05/02/17

Bond, Heather and Breanna Gaona – Nepal

-Praise God for a wonderful week of hosting pastors from all over Nepal at our campus. It was great to see those who are partnered with us and also our past graduates who are also serving the Lord in various regions.

Please Pray:
1. Pray for the time with each of the Promise Child girls as we do updates for sponsors this week. Pray for clear communication and that Heather would be able to effectively minister to each of them one on one as the Lord leads.

2. Pray for all those who heard the Gospel at both the student outreach trip and through the Resurrection weekend outreach services. Pray that they would begin to be part of a fellowship and learn the Word to know Jesus personally.

3. Pray for our remaining weeks in Nepal to be fruitful and that we would finish strong.

4. Pray for Breanna who has been waking up at night screaming. She seems fine physically, but we ask you would pray against any bad dreams or other things that maybe bothering her at night as she sleeps.

5. Pray for protection against stomach bugs. Bond and Heather have both had many stomach issues over the past month.

Thank you,

Miller Family – Amazon Jungle, Brazil

Please Pray:
1. Augustinho, Lucilene and their son Esmael.  Esmael is in the pediatrics hospital as of today, 4/19/2017 undergoing treatment for severe pnuemonia.  He arrived there 8 days ago.  He is improving, but they are keeping him there while he is taking antibiotics.  He is 13 months old and had surgery 6 months ago to have a colostomy bag done.  He was to have the bag removed and his intestines connected again this month, but now must wait until he is better.

2. Our next village trip on May 3, 2017.  On this trip we will hold the first Apurina Bible Conference at a new village to us and their will be 5-7 other villages invited.  Many of these have not heard the Gospel clearly before and are involved in some type of idol or animistic worship/belief.  Pray specifically for our disciples who will be preaching and giving testimonies, Makao, Oscar, Valdicis, Analucia, Raimunda.

3. Please pray for our family as we have all been struggling with flu type issues for the past week.  These things came on top of the asthma reactions we had from inviting a cat into our home for 4 days to help with the mouse/rat problems.  I know, but these are real issues, we just don’t normally talk about the rats, cockroaches, mosquitos or other critters.

4. Please pray for the men of Jardim Tropical and our leadership meetings.  Also pray for the construction of the new church which has been slowed down because of lack of finances.

5. Please pray for our homeschool classes, our children, and us.  Those who do this will know what kind of prayers are needed.

Thank you for praying  with us over these things.  May the Lord bless you and keep you, making His face to shine upon you.

God be with you all as we all anxiously await His return,

Marc and Linda McSweeny – Frankfurt, Germany

Please Pray:

1. The Lord provided a house for us! We never expected it to come so soon. Within two weeks of first seeing the listing in the internet, we had already secured the financing and got the confirmation that we can buy the house. It was built in 1933 so we had to do just about everything to it. We were first able to do the renovations in December and our moving date was set for late February. We are now living just outside the city of Frankfurt and we are no longer living in the same house as the church. Please pray for the adjustment for us as a family and for the church. There is now a more distinct separation between my home life and the church. That has good and bad sides to it.

2. We will need a new location for the church soon. Since moving out, we have lost a place to have the children’s ministry. We had planned on using a room we rented in the basement for that purpose, but the owner has explicitly forbade us from using it for that purpose. We sense they are trying to force us out. Anyway, we have to be really creative with our children’s ministry, and we will need a place for them soon. Please pray for wisdom and for the Lord’s will to be done. There are many open questions like where do we go, when, how, etc.

3. I have been battling some health issues, migraines being one of them. They are progressively more severe and frequent. Lately they have been coming on Sundays and hindering me from being able to teach. Please pray for healing since it is beginning to affect my ability to do ministry.

4. Please pray for a young lady in the church who was traumatized a few years back. The trauma therapy does not seem to be working as she had hoped and her condition sometimes makes it difficult for her to come to church. She is very discouraged by her inability to lead a “normal” life. Please pray for her healing and deliverance.

Thanks for your prayers and support!

Please Pray:
1. Pray for a meaningful and spirit-filled Passion week within our Christian School and Church body.  Please pray for our performances that will be performed on Resurrection Day (Songs and Worship Dance).

2. We are preparing for a Mission trip to the Philippines on April 24-30.   Please pray for the holy spirit to inspire all our activities including worship, worship dance, skits, sermon, and group discussions.  This week and next week.) Jenna Pepin – Culiacán, Mexico

-Thanks to all who prayed us through last week.  Sammy is completely over the chicken pox.  My sermon on Wednesday night was very well received and gained the praise of the pastor.  Saturday’s Breakfast Club also went very well!  The kids very actively participated in the lesson and were able to apply it to their lives.  Praise God!

Please Pray:
1. This week, we will be participating in a 4-day, 3-church camp event outside of the city.  Please pray for good weather, safety and health for all participants, and that each person ministering will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit so that effective ministry will take place and lives can be changed.  There are a lot of details to coordinate and lots of people to be ministered to, are we are trusting the results to God.

2. Pray for our Easter services, as well.  As with any church, we are expecting many newcomers and unsaved people to attend, and we want to take full advantage of this awesome opportunity.

3. Finally, please pray for the future of the Breakfast Club.  Due to the previous lack of fruit, the pastor is considering moving on to a different area, but in light of this weekend’s success, we are also discussing the possibility of increasing the ministry.  Please pray that God will guide us to the right answers, and that (if we are to increase) God would provide the necessary workers and funds to make it possible.

Thank you all for your love and prayers.  May you have a blessed Easter week!

Weekly Prayer 04/04/17-04/11/17

Miller Family – Amazon Jungle, Brazil

We thank God for His wonderful mercy and grace, and His word, which we can trust in.

Please Pray:
1. The Jardim Tropical Ministry.  Pray specifically for Artur and Merinete, Leandro and Roberta, Adailson, William and Diana, and Sergio.  Pray also for the children’s ministry, and the countless adults whom we wish to reach.

2. Please pray for Iran, a young man at Jardim Tropical who recently repented and received Christ as his Savior.  We believe he will be vital for future youth ministry there.

3. Please pray for the Apurina people.  Pray specifically for our disciples, Oscar and Analucia, Makao, Valdicir, Patricio, Davi, Armando, Guillermi, and Raimunda.  Please pray for the new villages we contacted on our trip in March.

4. Please pray for the 1st ever Apurina Bible Conference, which will be held in the village we evangelized 2 years ago, in which the Chief, Apurinari and son repented and accepted Christ.  We have invited all villages in the area to attend.  We are expecting 20 + men who are interested in the Bible, plus all others who come as spectators.  The Conference will be held the 1st week in May, 2017 on our next trip.  This village is 14 hrs by boat up river from our jungle house and village where we minister on a regular basis.

5. Please pray for Linelma, who now lives with us.  She was born on a reservation here in the Amazon, was adopted by American Missionaries and had upper schooling in the U.S.  She is back in town to start her own business of teaching English.  She helps immensely around the mission base, with our kids, and with translations for the people who pass through our house.

6. Please pray for our eldest children living in the U.S.  Jr and Ashley, who just had their first daughter.  Andrea, who is just completing a 9 month cosmetology school and is deciding to stay or return here to Brazil.

7. Please pray for Judy King, the original missionary with the Apurina people who translated the Bible into their language and we use to train and teach them.  She arrives here on Saturday, April 1st for 3 weeks.  She wishes to return to the village and reunite with the people.  She also needs to take care of “loose ends” here in town from her 35 + years of ministry.  Please pray for safe travels, and her health.

Please pray with us for these things, God bless you all,

Brad and Melissa Miller, Josiah, Veronica, Benjamin, and now Linelma – ~ Email:  millerstobrazil@yahoo.com  Blog: https://millerstobrazil.com/

Weekly Prayer 03/28/17-04/04/17

Paul and Jana Sandbulte – Indiana

Please Pray:
Our unborn baby has been diagnosed with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. This means that her stomach and other organs are where her left lung should be. Her left lung is barely there, and her right lung is also smaller than normal. CDH usually causes breathing problems, eating problems and developmental delays. When the baby (Rose) is born, the doctors say she will be put immediately on a ventilator, be fed through an IV, and have surgery after a few days. They say she will probably be in the NICU at the Children’s Hospital for 2-3 months and need further monitoring and care. Please pray for complete healing in every way!

Thank you!

Pradeep Kumar – India

Please cry out to the Lord for Gyatri!

Without warning, Gyatri’s father abruptly entered a Church service in India where our dear Pastor Pradeep was leading the service and made a public display and began beating Gyatri for attending the service in front of the congregation.

Gyatri, who is a passionate evangelist, remained steadfast and faithfully returned to the following service as did the rest of the congregation. Later, while she was at a Bible Study with Pastor Pradeep, and other church members, her father once again came and violently beat her and also her sister.

We are now told Gyatri’s father is making this a regular practice! Before Gyatri became a Christian, her father had never before beat her. This shows how hated Christianity is there.

We are asking for urgent and deep prayer for our dear evangelist and sister in the Lord, who is passionately serving in such an area of strong opposition and even in the face of danger and suffering.

Please Pray:
1. Gyatri’s safety and physical healing and that God would protect her life. For encouragement and blessing and comfort and strength; and that she will sense God’s Presence in an amazing way!

2. That this persecution will be turned around for good to bring even more new strong believers to be added to the church and stir a great hunger for Jesus in the area!

3. That the pastor and church members will be given exceptional wisdom in how to respond to these painful trials, and will only grow stronger and even more enthusiastic in serving Jesus, and that they will clearly see God’s hand on their church and their lives!

4. That Gyatri’s father will stop beating her, and that his heart will be softened toward Jesus Christ and that he would be come a dedicated and committed follower of Him.

Thank you so much that we can count on having you to care and pray hard for our dear sister in such a great time of need!

Much love in Jesus Name!
Pradeep ~ Email: kumarpradeeparya12@gmail.com

Deanna Jevas –  Tijuana, Mexico

Please Pray:
1. For the after school program. The lord is bringing about a lot of changes, and they are all good! Pray that all will be on board and that there will be sufficient staffing. Also, that we would continue to be led by the Holy Spirit.

2. Provisions and good time management for Nena, the pastor’s wife, who is going back to college in May to finish her education and get her teaching credentials. (education is extremely expensive in Mexico). She doesn’t know how she’s going to pay for it, but know that God is calling her to finish school!

3. For minor health issues that I am battling with. If it’s not one thing it’s another, and all of this tends to throw a wrench in my daily plans in regards to serving.

4. For Godly boldness for me in regards to authority (giving it out). And for good leadership skills (wisdom).

5. A preschool teacher on Sunday mornings, and a nursery teacher for the Wed. Night service.

“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”  Psalm 5:3

Thank you for praying for me!

Bond, Heather and Breanna Gaona – Nepal

Praise
-South India team had a great time. We facetimed with them every day and they asked our input. They got a lot done…crew of 15 workers cleared all the trash and overgrown areas, 3 bobcats on sight and the architect came up with some amazing plans as just a few highlights. Wonderful plans were put in place for the first phase coming later this year.

-God provided an awesome female translator that exudes the joy of the Lord. She was able to go out with me twice last week and we shared the gospel with four women one on one during our time in the leprosy colony.

-Bond was able to go visit Pastor Milan in the village this past weekend. Milan is one of our first CCBC Nepal grads and we are rebuilding his home (damaged by the earthquake) and building a fellowship hall for the new church plant to meet.

Prayer Requests – Nepal
1. Pray for Bond’s physical healing. He went to Milan’s village this weekend (5 hours away) and came back last night and was sick all night and everything has been coming out of his system since then. He was in bed all day, not able to eat or teach. We have visitors (a team of 9) coming tomorrow (Tuesday) to serve with us for 4 days before they head to another part of Nepal so he really needs to be at full strength.

2. Pray for our student mission’s trip with-in Nepal where we take the students off site for several days of outreach. The dates are April 9 – 11 and we will be doing the outreach where Milan is pastoring (5 hours from the city). Pray that as our students practice and prepare skits, dances, dramas, testimonies and children’s programs that they would be used mightily and streched.

3. Pray for our Resurrection Service Celebration and Outreach Service in mid April. It is a time to invite many who have never heard about Jesus. Pray the Lord would give us favor as we invite others in our community.

4. Pray for this upcoming week March 21, 22, 23, 24 as we host a team from a CC in Washington state. Wednesday we will be sharing the Gospel at the Leprosy Colony and distributing hygeine kits and Thursday we will be spending the morning at the bus park doing evangelism and in the afternoon with the Promise Child girl’s. Pray that many would come to Christ.

Prayer Requests – India
1. The work in South India is a GO! Pray against anything that would try to hinder the work.

2. Pray for us as we work on the admin portion of getting a new Bible College set-up in South India. Pray for the paperwork that will be filed in the next week or two with CCBC in Murrieta. Pray for the website to get up.

3. Pray against fear or anxiety at the unknown in starting this new ministry in South India. Pray that our faith would be increased. Pray for the team the Lord is putting together on the ground and others who may want to join and serve. Pray for the students, that God would bring those who have a heart for Jesus and reaching their own people through church planting and sharing the Gospel.

4. Pray for our time as a family to be sweet, centered on Jesus and that God would be glorified in our lives.

We love you and are so thankful for your prayers!

Weekly Prayer 03/07/17-03/14/17

Jenna Pepin – Culiacán, Mexico

Please Pray:
1. We are officially installed in our new home in Culiacan.  Thank you for all of your prayers as we got moved and settled – it was quite an adventure!  Please pray that God leads us to a “real” home (something bigger than our temporary studio apartment) so that we can actually unpack and establish ourselves.

2. As we begin our ministry here, please pray that God helps us to adjust to the climate here.  The heat has only just begun, and it’s been quite an adjustment for us.

3. Also pray that we can quickly establish a weekly ministry routine.  This Saturday will be our first opportunity to go to La Invasion de la Esperanza to work with the Breakfast Club.  I will also be looking for ways to improve the church’s missions and outreach ministry and taking on some of the administrative tasks as well.

4. Pray for all of our new brothers and sisters in Christ here in Culiacan.  We had 7 baptized last week and one more accept Christ this Sunday.  The harvest is truly ripe!

Thanks!

Weekly Prayer 02/21/17-02/28/17

Bond, Heather and Breanna Gaona – Nepal

We are thankful to have you praying for us and the various ministries. We just said goodbye to the 31 person team from Calvary the Rock that we hosted and served with for 10 days. At our last prayer meeting, you interceded and God heard. We were healthy, filled with the spirit, strengthened for the long days and had supernatural amounts of love and hospitality. As a result…

– hundreds of kids heard the Gospel at the after school outreach at the soccer field next to the slums

– lepers were loved, prayed for and fed

– slum dwellers heard the Word, were clothed, and introduced to Jesus

– Nepalis at the bus park received the Gospel, tracts and bibles

– Orphans were taught, loved, fed and provided with a fun day of games and crafts

– a home that was destroyed from the earthquake was demolished and a family of believers were given hope for a fresh start

– Our students were prayed for, encouraged and blessed both spiritually and physically

It truly was amazing to be a part of such an intense week of outreach. God did exceedingly abundantly above all we could have asked. Pray for all who heard the Word, that the seeds planted would take root and grow. Pray for those who made a profession of faith to become a part of a bible teaching church or come to ours and that they would be protected from the lies of Satan.

Please Pray:
1. Pray for Bond as he teaches at CCBC Nepal this semester for Acts, Theology and Ministry of the Holy Spirit. Pray that he would be continually empowered to teach the Word. Pray for his times of study to be set apart and sweet. Pray for the students at CCBC Nepal to grow in the Word and fall in love with Jesus.

2. Pray for our building project with Pastor Milan (our first graduating class from CCBC Nepal). Pray that the building of his home and fellowing room (to hold church) would go smoothly. Pray for favor with the workers, great deals and favor on buying materials, wisdom for those involved to make sure it is done properly and that this place in Dumerie in the village would be a light to the entire community.

3. Pray for Heather as she disciples the girls in the Promise Child girl’s home. Pray that as they are taught, they would know Jesus personally.

4. Pray for Heather as she meets weekly with the gal students at CCBC Nepal and will be teaching on spiritual gifts in the upcoming month. Pray also for Catherine who Heather is meeting for discipleship on Fridays as she is from the UK but is in Nepal attending classes this semester and desires to grow in her relationship with Jesus.

5. Pray for a godly Nepali woman who can translate for the various women’s ministry opportunities.

6. Pray as we make plans for student mission’s trip in April. Pray for the exact locations the Lord would have our students to minister and serve in. Pray the students would take the lead and be faithful to plan as the Lord leads.

7. Pray for our marriage to glorify God. We know we are watched at all times and we want to reflect Jesus in all we say and do. Pray for us as we parent Breanna that we would have balance between the demands of ministry and the importance of family time. Pray that as Breanna grows, she would love Jesus at a young age.

Please Pray:
1. Pray for that God will continue to open doors for different mercy ministries in Mexico!

2. Pray that God will continue to provide for the financial needs of our family personally!

3. Pray that God will help us purchase our building, as our 5 year lease runs out later this year!
