Mosley Family May Update – Open Doors

Our first month in Portland, Oregon has gone by so fast! After we first moved here, I began to wonder what we were going to do to fill our time but after a few days I discovered that was not something we needed to worry about!

As we have continued to pray and ask God for direction in ministry, a door has swung wide open within the law enforcement community. After retiring and laying down my badge last year, after 15.5 years, the Lord has continued to stir my heart for my fellow Law Enforcement Officers. I am beginning to see that God may be calling me to be a missionary to the Law Enforcement community. They really are their own tribe, speak their own language, have their own culture, and can be a very challenging group to reach with the gospel. I never really saw this ministry coming but I have a growing, unquenchable desire to support these men and women of Law Enforcement as they fulfill God’s calling on their lives.

As I shared last month, we have a solid group of Law Enforcement guys that are meeting in Napa once a month. I flew back to California at the end of April to meet with these guys, encourage them, and support them in their job, and more importantly in their walk with Christ. We will continue to meet once a month to encourage, support, and pray for one another. My good friend John and I are producing weekly YouTube videos for the guys and gals involved in this group to help keep everyone engaged and offer support during the weeks we are not meeting together. The group has been growing in interest and we are hoping to start working toward one on one discipleship.

I don’t believe this door for ministry would have swung so wide if we hadn’t moved up here to Portland. I have been able to make several connections with Christian Law Enforcement officers in the area. It’s through these connections I have learned about other First Responder support ministries. I’ve spent most of the month meeting with different people, whether on the phone or in person, from local and national organizations, that are involved in Law Enforcement ministry. So far, I have been speaking to an organization called Navigators and the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers, which are both nationally known ministries. It has been exciting to connect with people that are doing great things for God within Chicago PD and with folks in the Tennessee area too. Each encounter has taught me more about how I can serve our Law Enforcement officers. There is also a possibility that Jackie will be working with Law Enforcement spouses, which is also much needed. Many times, these women go unnoticed and the impact these jobs have on the spouses can be very devastating.

We are working on a project called “Cover Unit. In police terms a cover unit is an officer’s backup. The job of a cover unit is to watch and offer a secondary level of protection, to support the primary responding officer on his/her call. With this in mind, I began thinking about how I could be these guys “Cover Unit” in a spiritual sense. It began to occur to me that I could be a cover unit to the officers on the street by committing to pray for these men and women and “covering” them in prayer. The idea began to grow. I want to go beyond just supporting in a general sense and support by prayer. I’ve been able to share this concept with several officers, deputies, and organizations about the idea and there is a lot of excitement and momentum behind praying for officers! So, stay tuned for more to come about the Cover Unit Ministry.

The other component of being in Oregon is serving alongside our friends in the local church. We had a great time helping with the Easter Egg Hunt a couple of weeks ago and it was a neat opportunity to get to know some folks at the church and meet people from the neighborhood. This week we started doing a Drive-Thru prayer stop at the church, where people can drive into the parking lot and be prayed for. It was interesting watching the people that came first drive by and then intentionally turn around to receive prayer, the Holy Spirit drew the people that needed prayer. Praise God that we have been able to meet and make some new friends and even have them over for dinner a couple of times. God knows how much we love all of our friends back home and in Mexico, so He graciously brought some new families into our lives. I’ve had the opportunity to continue meeting weekly with a brother from the church to encourage and support him in his relationship with the Lord. He has been such an encouragement to me as well. “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17).

As you can see, it’s been a busy month. We ask that you come along side us this month in prayer.

Please pray for:

  • The church here at Faith on Hill- that God would continue to use it as a beacon of light to the neighborhood.
  • For our group of officers in Napa – that they would continue to stand strong in their faith in a dark work place.
  • God would continue to open doors for ministry within the Law Enforcement community
  • Unity, strength, and provision for our family

Until next month!

Once In A Lifetime – Gaona Family Update

This past month, we were gifted with the most amazing trip and we were able to join the Footsteps of Paul Tour with our dear friends from CTR. This year we celebrate 20 years of marriage and we are grateful to CTR for inviting us on this once in a lifetime trip! To stand in the very places where Paul shared the Gospel, taught the Word, appointed elders and encouraged believers in various locations left us in awe. When we first considered becoming full-time missionaries overseas and working in several countries, the Lord showed us that while it was not “traditional” it was in fact “biblical” as we read the life of Paul. As we journeyed through Greece (Athens, Corinth), Turkey (Ephesus), Crete, Patmos and a few other islands we were encouraged to stay the course.

To consider the hardships, travel conditions, persecution, and various trials that Paul endured to proclaim the Word gave us an even greater resolve to continue in the calling God has placed on our lives. We found ourselves refreshed by the beauty, teachings, sites, cruise and sweet time together and with friends. Thank you to each and every one of you who prays, supports, and cares for our family and the various ministries we are apart of. What a gift!

Gathering the Best From East to West

As we traveled to Greece from S. Asia, we stopped to spend time in Nepal to leave Breanna with our dear friends Aaron and Jena. During our time in Nepal, we were able to host a gathering of Pastors and Church Planters from all over the country. Bond was able to teach through the book of Timothy, which was an encouragement as most are serving alone in remote places.

It was a great joy to hear from Majhiya about the new bible study and church service he is teaching as he rides his bicycle 8 miles each way to a neighboring village and to hear from Raju that the tin building where the church gathers each week on a mountain top (visualize a 6 hour hike straight up into the clouds) is too small for those who are coming to hear as he teaches the Word each week. Both of these men graduated last year from the CCPTC in Nepal. Please continue to pray for all of the men and women who have been sent out to share the hope that we have in Jesus and that they would have a great impact in their villages and communities. (p.s. Breanna did amazing in Nepal while we were away for the week!)

When North Meets South

Many of you may remember when we first began ministering in S. Asia, our efforts were focused in the North. In 2012, we began by hosting discipleship training classes that later led to establishing a School of Ministry and now a Bible College there. The first class of graduates have since gone on to plant churches, teach at bible schools and host outreaches in their villages. Recently, a handful of them went through a medical training program. In addition to pastoring and ministering to the spiritual needs of people, they are now able to physically assist people as well. The medical training graduation was in South India, which was good news for us as we were able to be reunited and host them at the new Calvary Chapel Bible College South Asia campus where we have been focusing our efforts for the past two years. It was a joyous reunion with our brothers from the North to spend a week together with us and the students in the South. Bond was able to exhort the pastors in the Word and challenge them in their callings as they are pastoring in mountain villages and remote areas in North India.

One of the highlights was hosting a panel where the former students (now pastors) were able to answer questions and share testimonies with the current students. The national pastors (who are all in single and in there 20’s) were able to shared how God has gone before them, helped them overcome challenges and they shared the joy of seeing people commit their lives to Christ. It is our intention to continue to follow-up and provide encouragement to those who have been sent out to plant churches throughout Asia over the past 8 years. Please pray for these young men for God to bless each of them with a wife, for strength to work in difficult areas, for the churches to grow and make disciples, for hearts to be softened to the Gospel, for blessings for those who are now teaching at the Bible College in the North and for the new medical training to be used as a platform to minister to even more people.

We are wrapping up classes in S. Asia as the semester ends in early May. Please join us in praying for each of the students as they travel back to their places. Pray also for God to lead our ministry partners as they reach out and meet with potential new students during the summer break.

With Love from S. Asia,
Bond, Heather and Breanna Gaona

A Servants Heart – Aniku Family’s May Update

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” Mark 10:45 A lesson so convicting is a servant’s heart.  Jesus touched lepers and corpse, beggars, thieves and those demon-possessed.  This is His heart beat that He puts in each of us.  Reaching home, Midigo, we have had a lot of amazing things to do.  But even in the stress, God softly reminds us to have His servant heart.  On Easter, we were expecting Vincent’s family but surprised with many kids and lots of boys from the secondary school.  The boys at the secondary school (boarding high school) really challenge me and most people around.  Most of them unloved and uncared for by adults.  The more that came I felt God tell me gently, “Serve them and love them while I multiply.”  So that is what we did.  God multiplied the food and gave Vincent the opportunity to share with all of them. When we allow God to work on our hearts, others see it and change too. There was also a young boy of 14 caught stealing from our Soccer/Football hall. After 2 days of being in the local police station, they wanted to take him to the juvenile court.  Vincent went to the police station and shared a long time with this boy, his father (who is a police man) and the other police.  We have asked that the boy be released as long as he comes to be discipled and change his ways to have a future. God’s grace is so amazing!  All we need is to believe in Him!  He gives us a heart of servanthood, His heart! So beautiful, is Christ!

Much More Than a Graduation:

Our dearest Claudia (Clow Clow), has graduated catering school!  This was so much more than just a graduation.  When she first joined our family over 8 years ago, she had just lost her mom to hepatitis B and AIDS.  She was a hurting teenager with a mouth to prove it.  Many times, she wanted to leave our house.  Many times, I felt she should.  We would cry and pray and cry and pray.  I had to be on my knees for her and for my own heart to find patience and love more than I can possibly count.  She had a hard time in school.  Despite all this, she has grown in her walk with God and become a woman I truly admire!  Singing in the Worship team and wanting to serve God.  She has stayed true and pure.  She has fought through the challenges of school, pure pressure and overcome cultural norms.  She has done so much more than graduate.  She has become an example to all the young ladies in the community, showing them that through Christ, you can finish school and become something for His glory.  You don’t have to get married young or give yourself to get pregnant and abandoned.  “With God, all things are possible.”  Matt 19:26 I am so blessed that God gave us the opportunity to raise such a precious daughter of the Most High King.  She asked me to thank all of you for your prayers and support with added thank you to her sponsors from Promise Child and to Calvary Galway, Ireland.  She says that without God and all of you this day could not have come.

Prayer Requests:

  • Please Pray for provisions for a new solar system.  We have come to find the batteries spoiled.  With the rains and more interns coming we know it will not be enough.
  • Continue to pray for all the ministries and the Church here.  Also for our interns, that they would be able to learn the culture and God would use them mightily.
  • Please pray for the workers on the house to be faithful and finish so that we are ready for Jacob (coming from CC West Grove) early June.
  • Pray for the district officials to come and approve our constructions to start on the library and community center.

Praise Reports:

  • We have been, for the most part healthy, thus far!  We reached Midigo without any hiccup!  We have also adjusted quickly, especially the boys!  What an amazing answer to prayer!!!!
  • Calvary Football Club has only 1 match remaining.  They are currently the top of the division.  I often forget about the impact this team has with the community and reaching to the Muslims.  The match today, once again reminded me and praising God we won 2-1.
  • We have been visited by Omar, our friend we have shared about over the years.  He was so excited to share with us that most of his family members have now converted from Islam and are saved.  We hope to share more about this amazing miracle next newsletter.  We only share this much currently because they ask for prayer.  The daughters husband has thrown her out, everything is chaotic and so they ask for prayers for safety and provision.

Thank you for reading our update and for all your prayers for us!

God bless you,
The Aniku Family

The Pavel Family – May 2019 Update

APRIL 2019 – THE RESURRECTION

“Webster argues that the Protestant church itself is in need of evangelization, since it has been heavily influenced by radical pluralism, individualism and relativism.”Christian Apologetics in the Postmodern World – Phillips, Timothy & Okholm, Dennis (1995)

1 Timothy 1:5-6 read, Now the goal of our instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith. Some have deviated from these and turned aside to fruitless discussion. (HCSB)

This April I have had the privilege to share about the importance of God having a plan to save me and the youth listening to me. This generation especially children of trauma have a hard time believing the Gospel of Christ’s death and resurrection. While none of them would go so far as to say the event did not occur, but when asked if they would repent and commit their lives to Christ, learn His teaching, and obey his commands, they shrug and have responded by saying when they see the church doing so then they will too.

Some of you may know young people like this. Some of you may have encountered or taught young people and responded in various ways but hearing a young person say this still stings with truth. I can’t ignore their proposition but what I have been able to demonstrate is what 1 Timothy 1:5-6 shares. As a teacher, mentor, pastor, and disciple maker, my technique must be in love because that’s the way Jesus responded and spoke to people in His ministry. I’ve noticed that all the power and testimony found in the resurrection account misses its mark in another person if I don’t use the love from a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith.

These virtues have been so difficult for me to achieve. I can not maintain consistency in my own power and I have had to simply cry out to the Lord to demonstrate His power in my weakness. It’s in this moment precisely that the Gospel of the Resurrection of Christ comes alive because I realize this is the tangible object of my belief in God. I can not teach, mentor, preach or make disciples for God without this object of faith.

So, this is my encouragement to the faithful brothers and sisters who are among a generation that is saturated in pluralism, individualism, and relativism. Let the Gospel message be the singular truth, be communal, and be dependent on God to get a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith in God’s goodness.

Pray for this generation because they desperately need it. They must be prepared if they are to survive the traps set for them throughout their lives.

Thank you for your love and prayers,

I’m Just a Branch – A Lesson on Dependence – Ruano Update

“Lord, if You were leaving to Spain and you had a long list of things to do, what would Youdo? How would You handle it all?”

Lately, my prayers have been very simple before the Lord. And His answers have been just as simple and practical!  This is what He spoke to my heart after the above prayer:

“Zully, if I were leaving to Spain, and had a long list of things to do, I would desperately seek my Father’s direction every single morning.”

Pretty straightforward! Two words stood out: “desperately seek”.

How do you desperately seek for something? Is it the kind of desperation like when you’re parched and look forward to a glass of water?  Desperate like when you’re lost for hours and will do anything for the exact directions to your destination? Desperate as if you were hanging from the edge of a cliff and cried as loud as you can for someone to save you? Yes, yes, and yes.  I need to be desperate enough to surrender everything to Him.

Shortly after I was learning about “desperately seeking” for the Lord, at just the right moment, I received lessons on John 15:5 that would solidify this new lesson on dependence.

The following are current personal updates that include a lesson I learned from the book Absolute Surrender by Andrew Murray (Ch. 9 – Ye Are the Branches):

Update 1: I have been blessed to share the call to Spain at various bible studies and on platforms like podcasts and webinars.  (The links to those studies & platforms will be at the end.) Those who know me, know that sharing on these public platforms have been a huge stretch for me; I’m amazed at what God is doing!

“Absolute dependence upon God is the secret of all power in work. The branch has nothing but what it gets from the vine, and you and I can have nothing but what we get from Jesus.”

Update 2: I started the visa process! There are so many components to the visa, so I am taking everything one step at a time.

“The living connection of the vine and the branches is hourly, daily, unceasingly… Just so, I must take that position…and morning by morning and day by day and hour by hour and step by step, in every work I have to go out to just to abide before Him in the simple utter helplessness of one who knows nothing, and is nothing, and can do nothing…. I have no care, my cares are His. I have no fear, He cares for all my fears.”

Update 3: The Association of Christian Teachers and Schools (ACTS) is providing the needed assistance to help establish the Christian school in Mallorca. Therefore, the Lord has put a team together both in Spain and in the US to help begin the school!

“If I am something, then God is not everything; but when I become nothing, God can become all…We need to become nothing.”

What freedom I found in recognizing that I am just a branch! I don’t have to strive or control anything but depend on the Vine and in His direction.  It’s as if I have taken a front row seat, and I am watching His every move; it’s exciting! My heart’s desire is that you would take a front row seat with me!  What ministry gift does God want you to contribute to this mission?

Your generosity in financially partnering with me, every prayer you make on my behalf, every encouraging message and counsel you send… etc. are some ways that you can share your ministry gift with our work in Spain. If you want to learn more on how to partner with me in this exciting venture of faith, please do not hesitate to contact me! I’m truly blessed that we’re in this together!

God bless,
Zully

May 2019 Prayer Requests

EUROPE

S.S. – Europe

Please Pray:
1. My main prayer request is for a discipleship program called Almassira. It is developed especially for Arabic Muslims to be able to know the story of Jesus Christ from Genesis to Revelation. It consists of 12 video sessions taught on 12 weeks. After every session there is a discussion that meant to deepen and widen the ideas presented in the video.

-There is a plan to start with it but there are some difficulties that need prayers. Please pray for the team that will be serving: for unity, understanding and that God chooses the right people for it.

-Please pray for the people that will come that they commit to its 12 sessions and that they accept to be challenged in their beliefs about who Jesus is.

-Please pray for the leadership in the church and the people who are supporting this work that they will continue supporting and helping in whatever is needed and not to get weary.

-Please pray for me that I can communicate right in the discussion and help people (Arab, Kurds, German, English speakers) to understand each other. And thank you very much for all the prayers

Thank you,
Blessings S. S.  – Email

Darryl and Kayo Record – Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Praise God:
-Praise God that one of Darryl’s more than 70 videos in the Cambodian language on the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ, has been viewed by more than 23,000 people!

Please Pray:
1. Please pray that God will raise up new and increased monthly financial partners who will replace the $500 monthly we depend on for our housing and utilities. Our main financially supporting church in the US is now in a financial crisis, so please pray for them as well.

2. Please pray that God will raise up new financial partners to replace the $600 monthly that we depend on to pay for our only son’s Christian school tuition.  Kayo’s non-Christian parents in Japan (please pray for their salvation) have been sponsoring this from their business, but Kayo’s father is retiring at 70.  Homeschooling would reduce our ministry activities just when our ministry is expanding.

3. Please pray for the P@k!$t@n! Christian couple, who live in Cambodia, who have started translating Darryl’s  www.interationalfishers.com apologetics/evangelistic materials into their language.

S.S. – Europe

Please Pray:
1. Thank you  for praying last month for the Syrian lady who was in the hospital last month . Her surgery went very good and she recovered very quickly. She has been attending the Bible study that is on Thursday for the refugees and she asks many questions about trinity and full-man and full-God concepts. Most of these theological themes are difficult even for us to understand. I hope you can pray that she receives God’s salvation in her heart and that God answers her questions in His wisdom and truth.

2. I hope you  can pray also for our Friday Muslim evangelical Bible study. We are going through Genesis at the moment and it is very good for people to interact with each. Yet with this multicultural communications, some have expressed the feeling of being neglected through the discussions. Every culture works differently, some share their ideas immediately some wait till they have been asked or till everybody finish sharing. Please pray that people will feel free to share what they think even if they don’t have the same opinion about Jesus and that we as team have more wisdom from God on how to run the discussions in the best way.

3. Please also pray  for me personally. With two Multilanguage’s Bible studies weekly and Sunday’s service add to that the monthly Arabic church service and the normal communications between refugees and the church, I am translating simultaneously for 2 to 3 hours between two to three times a week. After every simultaneous translation I am completely drained and can’t help much with the refugees’ questions. I can do better when I take a break and then get back to what they require, but that is very rare to happen. I hope that nobody feels ignored or frustrated by my inability of concentration. Please pray that God gives me strength through that and help my weaknesses. Thank you

Gary and Tina Barrow – California, USA

Tina and I would appreciate you prayers. We feel God is calling us back to full-time ministry and missions. We have talked it over with pastor Trent and Debbie what we fill the Lord is putting on our hearts. They we so encouraging, but we need to see the Lord move mountains.
The vision we feel the Lord has given us is a four fold vision:

Please Pray:
1. Travel to churches to promote SGWM and the work regarding the Bible Colleges in South Asia and the future Bible College in the Middle East. Promote the School of Missions and help smaller churches develop their own missions program with the help of SGWM.

2. We would like to be more involved in the Bible Colleges in South Asia and play a role in planting the Bible College in the Middle East. We want to get pastors involved in teaching class via Skype, as the first step, and then take them abroad to the Bible College to teach block classes and pastor’s conferences. We want to help them get excited about global missions and help them connect with the Bible College students. We want to encourage churches to adopt these students we are raising up as their own missionaries, to support them and pour into them.

3. We also want to be part of the School of Missions. We want to go abroad with the students and pass on what we have learned. As missionaries for 15 years in Europe, we have learned a lot. Some of it was the hard way. But we want to be part of raising up the next generation of missionaries.

4. We want to be part of the Saving Grace family. We want to plug in and serve, go to Life Groups, Men’s studies, Women’s studies, Missions fellowships, help where help is needed. We long to be connected on a more regular basis, not just Sundays.

What’s needs to do these things?-We need to raise support….Please pray that the Lord would direct us, open doors for us and place it on people’s hearts to team up with us in giving to the ministry. I would maybe need a part time job to help supplement our income.

-We need to move closer to church….We would need to find a place for our family to live in a more affordable area of Orange County or on the outskirts. Being missionaries for 15 years you learn to live on a small budget. The amount of money needed to live in Orange County is, honestly, beyond my imagination. In fact, the whole idea seems impossible, but we serve a God who does the impossible. Someone once said “Attempt something so impossible that unless God is in it, it’s doomed to failure.” I think this falls under that category

I know that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above what we can ask of think. If you will join us in prayer, together we’ll have a front row seat to see what God will do on our behalf.

Thank you for your prayers.

God bless,
Gary and Tina Barrow –  Email Blog

Darryl and Kayo Record – Cambodia

Thanks for your prayers.  God is opening new doors to partner with and equip Christians not just in Cambodia but also from/in Pakistan and China.

Please Pray:
1. Please pray for our health, strength, and provision during this very difficult season.  The highs each day are around 98 degrees which results in rolling blackouts of up to 5 hours, so far we have missed the worse.  This also makes sleeping difficult.  All three of us have intestinal problems possibly due to the increased bacteria in the food caused by the heat.  Our car (1997 Camry) has needed two major repairs this month.

2. Please pray for Pastor J., an underground pastor, from Ch!n@ who had to flee with his family to Cambodia to escape arrest.  He still is in danger, even here, and his finances are extremely limited.  Lord willing, we will be able to partner to make and distribute recordings and materials in his language.

3. Please pray for the transfer of Apologetics books from P@k!$t@n to Cambodia to equip the believers here and for the translation/contextualization of some of Darryl’s Apologetics/Evangelistic materials to eventually be use in Cambodia and also sent back there.

4. Please pray for many poor people in Cambodia who do not have access to running water or electricity due to the dry season, as a result those who are weak.  Please pray for Kayo’s women’s ministry organization to low wage female nighttime entertainment workers.  May God move in the hearts of the women who come to the vocational training classes that they will know God’s love and receive spiritual and emotional healing and come to accept Jesus.

5. Please pray for God’s protection over the spiritual climate of Cambodia as we head into the Cambodian New Years holidays.  Many people increase their idol worship.  There are many fatal traffic accidents because people become more careless, fatalistic, and aggressive due to the spiritual climate and the heat.

6. Please pray that the dynamic work of the Holy Spirit will continue especially among the young generation.  Please pray that God will continue to use Darryl’s Leadership/Apologetics training classes to leaders at Kingsway Church who are in their teens and twenties.

7. Please pray for Darryl’s upcoming Apologetics class at the Cambodia Presbyterian Theological Institute.

8. Our landlord’s Buddhist mother passed away last night.  Please pray for opportunities to reflect Christ to the family during this time and also for spiritual protection from the Buddhist funeral ceremonies.

9. Please pray for Kayo’s praise and worship team ministry at the international church, many members are sick due to the heat.  Also many who attend the Japanese ministry are sick.

10. Please pray for the arrangements for our upcoming visit to California between June 20 and August 6.

Thank you for your prayers!

Please Pray:
1. Please pray for me. A few weeks ago, I was going to the village for ministry, and that day was very rainy and there was sleet. So, my motorbike did not do well on the journey. I slipped and fell from the road about 16 feet down. My bike was broken and parts of it are damaged. Praise God that I was not hurt much, but my bike is still not running well. Please pray that God will provide everything so that I can repair my bike and use it again for ministry.

S.S. – Europe

-It is great to start this year with you guys and with the help that your prayers is doing. I have been seeing answers of prayers in many requests I asked you to pray for.

Please Pray:
1. The Church refugee family got their court decision , which was a ban from deportation. The decision allows them to live in this country and forbids their deportation to Iran and that is great, but their stay in Germany has many limits so they applied against the decision and are waiting for a better one. Nevertheless they can leave the Church building now and go wherever they want in the city. I wish you can pray for them that they would be able to settle in their new place quickly and with their jobs, and that this 11 months of staying in the Church wouldn’t take a toll on them emotionally and physically.

2. I am in a regular contact with many Christian friends from Syria. The cold winter is causing a lot of problems. Prices are very high and heating costs so much where normal people can’t pay. Children are the one who suffer more in this situation and especially new born babies. I hope you can pray that weather changes and that this winter doesn’t cause many deaths.’

3. I hope you can pray for our student Bible study group since two of the main active people left because of work. One of them found a job outside our country and he is a very supportive and a close friend to me. I hope you can pray that God brings new students to the group and that all of them will be seeking God fully in their lives in spite of the heavy loads of study and exams every day in the university.

Thank you very much for your prayers . They are making a great difference in my life.

Josiah Miller’s Peru Trip

Hey everybody, I have been invited to go on a mission trip with Calvary Chapel Saving Grace’s youth group to Huacho, Peru. It will be a great time for my spiritual growth and helping with other missionaries’ work. We will be sharing the gospel with both the surfing, and skateboarding communities along with doing a construction project and children’s ministry. This trip will give me many opportunities for personal growth. I will need to fly solo from Brazil to meet up with the American team in Lima, Peru.

Since my family are fully supported missionaries in Brazil, I need to raise my own support of $1800 by the end of April. Will you please consider a financial gift to help me share the gospel in Huacho, Peru?

Please keep me in prayer for this opportunity and my financial needs to be able to go.

To securely donate electronically, please click on the link below.  Your donation will go directly into my SGWM account at Saving Grace World Missions.

Thank you,

S.S. – Europe

-It is great to start this year with you guys and with the help that your prayers is doing. I have been seeing answers of prayers in many requests I asked you to pray for.

Please Pray:
1. The Church refugee family got their court decision , which was a ban from deportation. The decision allows them to live in Germany and forbids their deportation to Iran and that is great, but their stay in Germany has many limits so they applied against the decision and are waiting for a better one.

I hope you can pray that weather changes and that this winter doesn’t cause many deaths.

3. I hope you can pray for our student Bible study group since two of the main active people left because of work. One of them found a job outside Germany and he is a very supportive and a close friend to me. I hope you can pray that God brings new students to the group and that all of them will be seeking God fully in their lives in spite of the heavy loads of study and exams every day in the university.

Thank you very much for your prayers . They are making a great difference in my life.

HisKids – Joe and Lisa Horner – S. Sudan, Uganda and Haiti

-Thank you for your prayers for Jean.  He is the boy who needs heart surgery.  We have trying to get him to the Dominican Republic for over 3 months to get a heart cath. so he can be approved for the surgery.  Because of unrest in Haiti, it has created numerous hurdles.  We finally were able to get the test done, and the results came back with a positive prognosis for surgery.  The next step is to do an echo cardiogram and then he should be on his way for surgery in the Cayman Islands.

-We also were able to do 3 medical outreaches in Haiti last month.  We had 18 people receive Jesus as a result and are looking forward to baptizing them.

-Please be fervent in praying for us.  We are constantly under spiritual attack from the enemy.

Thank you.

2. For us to be a huge blessing to our missionaries, and that our Peru missionaries would be encouraged and refreshed from the prayer retreat we’re putting on.

3. Please pray for me, that God will give me knowledge of the Word of God more and more.

4. Please pray for my mother; she is having stress from the persecution my family is going through. Someone we don’t know came to our house claiming to be a relative, and demanding 50% of our property and saying they will take us to court. The villagers do not want us in our village because we are Christians. But praise the Lord, these people did not come to the village meeting where they planned to try to take our home! Continue to pray for us.

5. Please continue to pray for me and my family’s safety.

Thanks for your prayers and partnership for the Gospel!

God bless you!

Please Pray:
1. My parents and I have been doing a conference for the past 13 years where we reach out to people. This year will be the fourteenth year; please pray that we would be an instrument that the Lord uses. Please pray that people will come prepared for the Word and that many will be saved. Please pray for the people who will be helping with cooking, as well as for good weather since we will be in tents.

2. Please pray for me as I head back to the Bible school and begin the next semester. Please pray that the Lord will work in me, speak to me, and transform me to be more like Him day by day. Please also pray that I will teach by being an example.

3. Please pray for one of our students whose father went to be with the Lord. Four years ago, he also lost his mother. Now he feels very lonely; please pray that the Lord comforts him.

4. Please pray for all of the students and staff as we travel back for the next semester.

Thank you for your prayers!

God bless you,
